Your school Orchestra/Band Director will have information about AYO audition dates and audition materials. Usually,
string audition material is a piece of your choice that demonstrates your highest level of technical and musical ability.
Wind and percussion students for the Philharmonic and Symphony Orchestras are
selected on the basis of the TMEA All-Region Orchestra/ Band auditions. Students who attend schools where an
orchestra or band program exists are REQUIRED to be a
member in good standing of the school program.
MEMBERSHIP TUITION FEES
There is a $100.00
per semester tuition fee for each participating member to cover operational expenses of the orchestra.
The membership tuition fee is collected at the initial rehearsal of the semester.
